Project Background
Ventria Residence is a joint development between the Hong Kong-Macao Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and the Chevalier Group.
Both parties aim to give back to society through the development of Ventria Residence, upholding the principles of "continuity of care" and "integrated healthcare and social services." This initiative serves local seniors, addressing the challenges of an aging population in Hong Kong while creating new models of elder care services.
Established in 1863 in Michigan USA and headquartered in Maryland USA, the Seventh-day Adventist Church is truly a world church. The church is present in nearly every country of the globe, and administers through 13 World Divisions, 140 Union Conferences/Missions and 773 Local Conferences/Missions.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church began its evangelistic works in Hong Kong since 1888, and the Hong Kong-Macao Conference of Seventh-day Adventists was set up in 1949 now has a total of 25 local churches. The church also serves the Hong Kong community in various ways, providing Educational Service, Social Services, Healthcare Services and Medical Services. The church operates two private hospitals, the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital (Stubbs Road) and the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital (Tsuen Wan), as well as the Hong Kong Adventist Medical Centre (Causeway Bay & Taikoo Place).
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is totally committed to providing quality and compassionate care for senior citizens. In Hong Kong, the church’s Social Service Department runs 3 elderly centres: Heng On Social Centre for the Elderly, Siu Sai Wan Neighbourhood Elderly Centre and San Po Kong Neighbourhood Elderly Centre. In many parts of the world, the Seventh-day Adventist Church operates over 80 Nursing Homes & Retirement Centers globally providing care and services to best meet the needs of the aging community.
